In tribute to the wonderful players we've had this round I offer to you the purest of places to share the things you've loved about one another (characters, threads, just Them) with each other! Even if it's been said before, sometimes all the world needs is a little love.

Hello players! It's your friendly Overlord Meech, here for a FEEDBACK POST party, just as promised.

This was my first full murdergame as a mod, and Sarah's first ever, so naturally we know some things didn't work. Which is why the two of us have high expectations for what we've learned from this experience. And we know that you guys could help us do that by sharing with us your opinions on the game as a whole!

What did you like?

What didn't you like?

What did you get out of this round of Lockdown?

What did you hope to get out of this round of Lockdown that you didn't?

How can we as mods help you enjoy future rounds better?

So on and so forth. You don't have to answer any of these specific questions. The topics you go on are entirely up to you. We're here to listen to it all and most of all, take it, and constructively improve. We want to thank you all for your patience this round and for working with us while we learned some things.

It may take some time, but we will be here to address all your comments and concerns.

For the comfort of all of our players, we'll be screening this post, so that you can speak freely without concern!

Congratulations on officially making it to the survivor pool for Round One!

The nine of you have come a long way, and a lot has been lost along the way. But there's still one more task ahead of you.

Just to prepare you for this last week, I've prepared some information regarding how this week will work! As usual, on Sunday at noon EST, your final week post will go up. Sunday and Monday will be immediately available to everyone.

On Tuesday, the Final Assessment will be announced at noon EST to your characters. What's that you ask? Well that would be the Official Finals for the class. And as you may have guessed, you have but one task.

Uncover the identity of the Teacher's Assistant that has been associating with the Administration this whole time.

After the announcement, Wednesday and Thursday will also be unlocked.

Friday will be the final investigation. You will gain access to a new area and get an opportunity to sniff out clues that will help you ace that Final Exam. And then Saturday you will put those clues together and ultimately vote for who you believe is the Teacher's Assistant!

But there's one other bit of power that you have. And that's the choice of whether to kill or spare the Teacher's Assistant. You'll have a lot to discuss.

After you've finished your final exam, the final plot portion of endgame will roll into motion. Where we end on Saturday will depend on how quickly the final exam goes. Whatever plot is not able to be finished on Saturday will be wrapped up on Sunday.

Survivors please respond to this post signifying you've read all this and are ready. Likewise, if you have any questions-- I'm all ears. I'm looking forward to this, I know you're all just gonna kill it. :)

Hello and welcome to you all!

It's nearly time for Round 1 to begin in proper and that means it's time to get to know your fellow players and their characters!

Let everyone know a little bit about yourself as well as the character you'll be playing.

And most importantly of all... Get hyped up-- the wait is almost over.

Hello, everyone, and thank you for sticking with us these past two weeks! You've probably heard us say this over and over again, but the mod team would like to sincerely thank all of you once more for participating in our mock round. We were genuinely surprised by the amount of participation and initiative you all took as players, and we are truly grateful to have such an incredible playerbase!

That being said, we know that there are still quite a few kinks we need to work out. We have some questions for you guys to answer so we can better gauge how to run the game in the future. Please take some time to answer these, especially if you are interested in playing in the main rounds.
1. Which platform do you prefer for OOC communication (excluding chatter/memes/etc.) and plotting: Discord or Plurk?

2. How did the tasks work for you? Did you find that using Google Forms as a way to signup for special tasks was efficient? As a note: We probably won't be having major events like the power outage during the main rounds, so hopefully this will leave more opportunities for you all to focus more on the tasks.

3. This is mostly for us to keep in mind for future games after Lockdown: Did you like the two-week Mock Round? Or would you have preferred one week?

Also, if there's anything that went well, please let us know so we can continue to feature those concepts in the main rounds!

And that's all from us! Please feel free to share your thoughts; if you have anything you'd like to discuss privately, feel free to PP or DM any of the mods, or send a PM to this account!

Hello, everyone! We hope you're enjoying Lockdown's Mock Round! We'd like to remind you of our pass/waitlist/fail system in place for you all to decide what you'd like to do with your characters.
  • "Passing" the exam: This applies for players who are interested in taking their character from the Mock Round to Round One.
  • "Waitlisted": This applies for players who will be apping their mock round character to Round Two or later, or for players who are unsure if they’ll be apping their character in the first place.
  • "Failing": This applies for players who want their character to ONLY be in the mock round. They will be killed off as a result of failing and sent to deadland.
Some notes:
  • If you pass your character and do not make reserves for round one, your character will ICly have their status changed from "passing" to "waitlisted."  We will have a reserve waitlist system in place starting from Round One for all players (not only mock round players) who did not make the reserve cap.  This essentially guarantees your spot in Round Two, should you wish you bring your character to the game then.
  • If you decide against bringing them at any point to the game, period, then please let the mods know so we can change their status to "failing" and send them to deadland!
  • If you decide to fail your character now, you will be unable to bring your character back for a regular round in the future.  Please choose wisely, as this character will be unappable to any other rounds.
  • For those of you who die as a result of the case/trial--you will automatically be sent to deadland.
  • Deadland is slated to start a little before Round One officially begins--we will keep you updated and give you an exact date as we get closer!
Please comment to this post with your decision by Saturday, June 2nd at 11:59 PM EST so we can have everything ready for the wrap-up log.  All comments are screened, though it is up to you whether or not you want to OOCly tell others your decision.  You may change your decision any time up until the deadline.  Failure to respond to this post within the time allotted will result in your character automatically being sent to deadland.

Welcome to the Mock Round for Lockdown!

It's a joy to have you all here. We're all very excited you've decided to join us on this adventure. So let's begin.

Just as a reminder, the round will last for two weeks, including a peace week and one week with an investigation, trial and an afterparty. The fun starts on May 20th, when your peace week introduction will go up. In the meantime, you're welcome to get acquainted with the game's locations. For the Mock Round, there will not be any new locations added; these will be all the areas you have to explore for the first two weeks. Your tasks will be revealed after you have had the opportunity to meet with the mysterious individual running the program.

But first, before we begin-- please take a moment to introduce yourself and your character to your fellow players!

There is also a Discord chat for the game, which you are all welcome to join and should have received an invite for in your acceptance comment.
