Welcome to the Mock Round for Lockdown!

It's a joy to have you all here. We're all very excited you've decided to join us on this adventure. So let's begin.

Just as a reminder, the round will last for two weeks, including a peace week and one week with an investigation, trial and an afterparty. The fun starts on May 20th, when your peace week introduction will go up. In the meantime, you're welcome to get acquainted with the game's locations. For the Mock Round, there will not be any new locations added; these will be all the areas you have to explore for the first two weeks. Your tasks will be revealed after you have had the opportunity to meet with the mysterious individual running the program.

But first, before we begin-- please take a moment to introduce yourself and your character to your fellow players!

There is also a Discord chat for the game, which you are all welcome to join and should have received an invite for in your acceptance comment.

HELLO MY FRIENDS, I am Ran, a person who has been around the murderblock, and I'm playing Kayneth El-Melloi Archibald from Fate/Zero! He's a character I've murdergamed with before back in Dangan Roleplay Round 3, but after Fate/Grand Order had its Fate/Zero event, I kind of pulled him flailing and screaming out of retirement because haha, holy shit, he was so good.

Kayneth is a professor of magic who is a classist jerk who exists to be a really powerful dude and get owned by the protagonist to show how cool he is. He's a little more complicated than that, though. A little bit. He's also, through a complicated series of events, wheelchair-bound, but he's... getting used to it. A little bit.

I've been around The Murderblock(tm) a couple of times too! Most recently in Airlocked with Yuuri Wakasa and in the last two canon rounds of Dangan Roleplay with Super Sonico and Kureha Tsubaki. As you can see, I've gone back to my roots of playing a cute rock star who absolutely, without question, does not deserve this.

Kasumi is the lead character of the BanG Dream! franchise! You guys will probably recognize her off the bat from that fucking mobage everyone's playing now, but there's also an anime which is actually pretty good despite the fact that it looks like it was animated with a potato. Kasumi herself is a giant dumbass who has been Desperately Searching For A Purpose In Life since she was a kid and found it in deciding to play guitar and sing with her girlfriends in their band, Poppin' Party!

YO I'M ANA and I am bringing you Shuu Iwamine from Hatoful Boyfriend. Yes, the murderbird of legend is here and ready to touch bodies, and he's going to be just as dry and lacking inflection as anyone always. Also, despite his looks, this giant bird is actually not fully able-bodied, and his entire right side is weak and crippled due to an explosion in childhood. Also, he can only see the color red. So that'll be fun.

HELLOOO I'm Drizz and I'm bringing in a character that's pretty familiar to murder trials already, Maya Fey from the Ace Attorney series! I've been around the mMurderblock before, most currently in Airlocked and Foolish Mortals, and once more I've chosen to go for a character that Does Not Deserve Any Of This.

If you're unaware, Maya Fey is a spirit medium, in training of course, living in an alternate universe California. Her life is interesting enough, but when her big sister is murdered, she's swept up into the world of LAW where she meets the equally doofy Phoenix Wright. Specifically, she's being taken from the third game, Trials and Tribulations for that Maximum Trauma.

Hey everyone! I'm Ashley, a murdergame vet, who is finally fulfilling her destiny of playing a cat in a one of these things!!!

This is Hollyleaf, from the Warrior Cats book series. It's a series about feral cats living in groups called clans, and oh my god it is drama llama all the time and everyone dies or is greviously injured or having existential crises, constantly. Hollyleaf's an adult cat who is the granddaughter of her clan's leader and the sister of two Important Cats, who are part of a big old prophecy with special powers. Not her, though. She just has an intense dedication to the honor code the cats live by and quite a heavy few mistakes behind her. Did I mention her very birth defies the code she so desperately wants to uphold?

So yeah, that's great!! She's fine. This is fine.

She is going to be very confused and angry and has never before spoken to humans (Two-legs) and not want to be treated like a housecat (kittypet). Surely this will go fine for everyone. Apologies about any clawings you get.

He's a 26yo with only 10 years' worth of memories, because I'm an asshole who gave amnesia to a guy with a photographic memory. Aiden essentially function as a cat; sleeping in weird places, following the "if I fits, I sits" logic, an ability to climb up to really high places, bristling at literally anyone who tries to get too close to him... both in the physical and the emotional sense.

Soooo he will hate basically everyone by default.

For those of you who haven't played the game, all you really need to know about detective pikachu is that he's a bit of a smartass, he loves coffee and sweets more than life itself, and that he's got a bad case of amnesia ever since the car accident a few months back, where his partner, Harry Goodman, disappeared. All he knows about that fateful night is that he and Harry were investigating a very important case prior to the accident, which very well might have been foul play...

Oh, also, since the accident, he hasn't been able to use any attacks. So don't worry about getting electrocuted.

Anyway, though the character himself might seem more like a joke-y choice than anything, im excited to play him! :0

Natsume is a good boy who has done nothing wrong ever*. He's a perfectly ordinary teenager in high school!! Except that's a lie because he can see and interact with youkai and just keeps it on the down low. In large part because of his ability, he's gotten used to being closed off and distant from people so he's not the most outgoing person around, but he's gradually becoming more comfortable with others. So clearly tossing him into a murdergame is the best way to facilitate that (?????)

She's 18 years old and lives at an artsy boarding school where she gets involved in solving various mysteries, so expect to find her snooping around. Usually she can rewind time so she'll be pretty stressed out about that fact that all decisions are final and that is terrifying. Also terrifying, she's staying in the cramped room 112. Good all those girls are pretty small, huh
