Welcome to the Mock Round for Lockdown!

It's a joy to have you all here. We're all very excited you've decided to join us on this adventure. So let's begin.

Just as a reminder, the round will last for two weeks, including a peace week and one week with an investigation, trial and an afterparty. The fun starts on May 20th, when your peace week introduction will go up. In the meantime, you're welcome to get acquainted with the game's locations. For the Mock Round, there will not be any new locations added; these will be all the areas you have to explore for the first two weeks. Your tasks will be revealed after you have had the opportunity to meet with the mysterious individual running the program.

But first, before we begin-- please take a moment to introduce yourself and your character to your fellow players!

There is also a Discord chat for the game, which you are all welcome to join and should have received an invite for in your acceptance comment.

technically? he may be all of them or only some of them! fate/ holmes is a heckin schrodinger's cat on that matter. he's a mysterious bastard and when you ask him about it he canonically goes "anyway let's talk about x, y, z..." but i don't see any reason why he wouldn't KNOW about 'em ;)c (esp for a study in emerald, 7% solution, or holmes vs jack the ripper) he has met helena blavatsky as a shout-out to an obscure holmes pastiche where doyle meets helena iirc... the fate/ team rlly does their research and i love it

fate/ holmes was friends with henry jekyll, though! spoilers, but: jekyll was originally an informant in holmes's network who wanted to push himself in order to help holmes. in doing so, tho, he became involved with the dark dealings of the magical underworld which caught moriarty's notice. moriarty sent jekyll the tampered ingredients and... well. you know the rest of the story. holmes was rlly affected by it and personally took on jekyll's case despite his policy against accepting cases he had a personal vestment in

and god toby is the best. have u ever played the frogwares sherlock holmes games bcause in some of the more recent ones u can play as toby during a couple investigations and its so fucking GOOD

i fucking adore the frogwares games and tbh i may very well rp holmes or watson from the canon of the games at some point bcause they include shit like cthulhu mythos and jack the ripper and idk theyre just fun and ridiculous [they have their problems though, dont get me wrong]

in uhhhh "testament of sherlock holmes" and "crime and punishments" aaaand i believe in "devil's daughter" too, though thats the only one i HAVENT played yet; theres certain cases where u can play as toby and after that point toby will hang out at 221b baker street
